There was no training or documentation provided, and little effort to understand or empathize with someone considering leaving shortly after joining. Even the so-called pros felt like cons. The work itself was often far less complex than it was made out to be—exaggerated to appear more important than it actually was. Someone actually said they realized they could not understand me since I’m not white. Management just told me to tolerate it.
