Many of the people they hired were uneducated and training was not provided. KC would hire anyone with a pulse. Only minimum background checks were done consisting only of an "OTIS" check, not a comprehensive background check. On one occasion I was asked to count medications after another employees shift because narcotics were going missing. We were allowed to preform tasks that only a RN is licenced to do ex. administer medications. We were considered contract employees so taxes were not taken out of our checks.
