Pros
I got a paycheck...I was underpaid, but it was something.
Cons
I worked admin with this place for a bit. My first week there had a few red flags that I regretfully ignored. The first thing I noticed was that the admin staff would talk abhorrently about caregivers' lives and were clearly judging as a group things these people told them in confidence. Additionally, the admin staff were all told to leave a positive review about the company here on Glassdoor. Most of the admin employees had been working there less than a year, so there was an extremely high turnover rate. Some of the management bragged about having fired all admin employees in the past. It was disturbing to see. As time progressed it became clear that most of management and people being considered for administrative employment were friends with the certain people in upper management. Even some clients and specific caregivers were friends with a specific person. The hiring process for these people was a mere formality as they were essentially guaranteed a job if they wanted it. It was clear that there was a divide there, between those close to the the in-group and those who were not. Being a small admin staff if you had a problem with this in-group's spontaneous decision-making you would soon be marginalized. Additionally, look out for scope-creep here. They will be vague about your roles and responsibilities at first. Then they will add more and more responsibilities that are outside of industry standard. It is one thing to wear many hats, but it is another to not delegate responsibility appropriately. Management will not care how much they demand of you, because you are always expendable. There was a lack of documented processes or written administrative policies so management could make sweeping changes on a whim, which they often did. They use their pre-packaged management approach as an excuse and eventual gaslighting weapon to tell people to develop their own processes. This creates cross-functional communication issues and management refuses to attempt to create structured processes and hold themselves accountable for process failures. Instead individuals are blamed despite the problems continuing to happen regardless of who is currently full-filling the role. Management will often gaslight people for things failing when it is their lack of willingness to create cross-functional processes and maintain a standard to hold themselves to. Instead everything is up for subjective judgement. When things fail people are blamed not poor management processes. Management will always make exceptions to what flimsy processes they make, which undermines the point of having a process in the first place. Only work here as a stepping stone to something better, it is a terribly run company, managed by people with the maturity of children. I thought I may have been the only one that felt this way but many other reviews of the company here validate my experiences. If you are a new employee start looking for something better right now.
