Pros
You can get this job with 0 prior experience. You will learn a lot and be able to get noticed for great jobs with this experience on your resume. Some great people. Super young (this is also a con). Pretty good benefits (you really do get unlimited time off).
Cons
People are insanely overworked and I think learn to accept that that’s the norm (especially when they come right from school and don’t know otherwise). Work life balance is horrible and you will be bothered late at night for things that just aren’t that important. It pretty much always feels like a tornado, and you really sink or swim from the start. People are moved around a lot because of turnover which can be tough to adapt to and doesn’t look great to clients. Training is subpar-wish they would teach more about the industry and digital marketing in a holistic way, rather than the Kepler lense of it all. Upper level management doesn’t push back on client asks even if they should and it creates unhealthy expectations for the future. Feels a lot like high school or Greek life in college (it feels traditional but also amateur). No room for creativity (you have to adopt the kepler way from the start and if you have the time to innovate more (which you probably won’t) it’s not accepted). Most managers are incredibly ill equipped to do their jobs because they are so young and aren’t trained in how to be a people leader. I think this is the biggest con and why there is so much turnover here-it is hard to really feel supported.
