Pros
Great company culture. They do so many fun events. Wfh on Fridays for most positions but not all. Free lunch if you go in on Fridays. Great holiday parties and you’ll get lots of free food items. Thanksgiving we got a bag of supplies. Very casual atmosphere and attire. Lots of office amenities. Pretty good PTO. Very relaxed environment as long as you do an at least decent job. Lots of growth opportunities. Benefit coverage is alright but the benefits are so affordable, dental is free vision is less than $7 a paycheck and the current most expensive health plan is less than $60. The deductibles are great too but again, United’s coverage could be better. The retirement contributions are great as well.
Cons
Some dept heads won’t let you wfh if you’re sick or have an emergency, so if you’re not too sick to work but still not feeling great you either have to burn a sick day or go in and possibly spread it, so people come in sick a lot. There’s no Covid policy at all. They are not generous with raises. It’s hard to get hired unless you know somebody there. There is definitely some favoritism for people with connections to higher ups. They hate their employees discussing wages. They actually had managers threaten termination if it was found employees were discussing it which is highly illegal and kind of appalling.
