Pros
Very flexible scheduling. Great access to test and measurement equipment to do your job (since we make a lot of it). Low pressure environment. Fantastic for those who love high tech, but not high stress environments.
Cons
Management spends a lot of time trying to meet wall street quarter to quarter goals instead of looking at the big picture. Projects are delayed to meet quarterly cash flow needs, leading to lost sales. Pay and benefits\perks are below average for hardware R&D type jobs. Many new hires leave due to pay or unexciting assignments. Those who are not tied down by families have historically left after a few years, leaving a large age gap inside the company. Very limited bonus and stock compensation when compared to other large tech companies.
