Pros
- The pace of growth at Kikoff is energizing. Revenue has growth dramatically since I joined, far beyond what I expected in a relatively short period. You rarely see this type of growth at other startups. - Compared to revenue growth, the team is actually very lean. I personally think that is a good thing because it allows you to wear multiple hats and have a broader exposure across functions. It also means accelerated learning, more autonomy and ownership. - Everyone at Kikoff is encouraged to come up with new ideas and execute them. This is in contrast with other startups I've worked at where the CEO determines what products to build and the rest of the team just executes. - The culture here is definitely ambitious but people are still supportive of one another for the most part. I have personally met some of the smartest and most genuine co-workers here and I can definitely see myself being friends with some people here long after I leave the company.
Cons
The long term exit strategy isn't always clear, although I do appreciate that leadership has been transparent about having ongoing discussions. Having more clarity will help with general alignment within the company and give employees a stronger sense of direction.
