Pros

The company itself is a healthy company and is top rated in the nation to work for. It also offers good benefits and does tuition reimbursement. It has a very luxury feel to the job as well

Cons

At least at the location I worked at, there was a high turnover rate. Every single one of front desk stage with the exception of 1 was there for under a year and those with any longevity we’re leaving from burnout. The job as a front desk agent is 80-90% computer and billing work and 10-20% customer service. Though you are actually seeing guests constantly the guest interaction is just the tip of the ice burger, underneath the surface is a lot of complex billing system. All day your telling money where it goes and why. If you are good with computers and money this may be a good fit for you, if your in it for the people find something else, Kimpton has many options and you can maybe be positioned, however you have to be “efficient” at your job so asking for replacement if your not feeling your current Kimpton position isn’t the place for you, you may have a hard to find a better fit.

We’re sorry to hear that your role wasn’t what you thought it would be, and that your position at Kimpton didn’t end up working out. We try our best to be as transparent as possible throughout our interview process, as we want to make sure our candidates are set up for success. That said, we’re disappointed to hear that wasn’t your experience with us. Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback.

Pros

Good tips. Great scheduling. Easy work.

Cons

The managers aren't all that great. Some play favorites with the servers they want to hook up with. Many have big egos as they love to flex what little power they have in life over the servers.
