Pros

With the acquisition of El Paso Corp they have become the fourth largest energy company.

Cons

I cannot believe they have managed to find that many incompetent people to work in one organization. After reviewing this website and the comments made, it is very clear that these descriptions of Kinder Morgan are very, very, accurate. Kinder will do all they can to avoid paying a buck for anything. They believe you should be grateful to work for them. Incompetent management. Clearly people who are happy being average. Zero leadership in all levels in all departments. Did I say, CHEAP? CHEAP! From Kinder's HR - "we pay average, no more." So if you accept a job with them just know you are accepting a (probably) below-average salary. Everyone wears, "many hats" - their words. No one is ever happy. No one smiles. This company will NEVER win a "Best Places to Work" award and what's worse is they are proud of it (see other posts). I have filed two ethics complaints and both have gone unanswered. They have simply closed them out as resolved.

Pros

The pay was actually pretty good,

Cons

The management is terrible, and they’re selective when it comes to taking disciplinary action. Promotions are based on who you know, not on your skills or knowledge.
