Pros

If you are not scared of hard work this is a great place to develop your skills. If you can work this pipeline every other pipeline will be a cake walk. You have great job security as long as you are extremely thorough. At first I didn't care for the environment but it grew on me. I actually miss working with my team and if I had the chance to do it over I would have taken it seriously right out the gate. Get right in and learn don't be timid. You will only learn this job if you do not by watching. Management is substantially improved from the start of my career. John is dialed in and knows what is going on. He is focused on process improvement and from what I could tell he has actually been effective. People are favorite thing about the job.

Cons

It is hard to move into another position whether that is laterally or vertically. Staff is overworked but not because management doesn't care it is mostly due to how challenging it is to train people fast enough to be prepared to work on their own. The Staff is extremely intelligent and some of the hardest working individuals I've met. That said it is very easy to make mistakes and seeing you are DOT and the hazards that can come with simple errors it is easy to lose your job. Don't be focused on productivity versus thoroughness. I would recommend you focus on thoroughness the productivity will come with time as you skill up. Staff can be a bit jaded because like I said you are overworked and it is a high stress job.

Pros

The pay was actually pretty good,

Cons

The management is terrible, and they’re selective when it comes to taking disciplinary action. Promotions are based on who you know, not on your skills or knowledge.
