Pros
Strong compensation and lots of opportunities to advance. I was able to increase my salary over $50K in just 8 years with the company (started as entry-level pay straight out of college) . Benefits package was strong (especially health and 401K) while I was there (much better than what I have now). Was able to work independently and faced new challenges every day. Never got boring or slow.
Cons
Very high expectations on performance. In management positions you were expected to work long hours, weekends, and be accessible 24/7. Work-life balance was not great. Constant changes to the organizational structure and management made it difficult to achieve goals. Changes were very frequent. Employees were sometimes on a short lease and there was a tendency to fire or discipline rather than coach/mentor. Culture was created by fear and intimidation. High turnover rate.
