Pros

Good pay, mostly consistent work flow, mostly decent human beings, good PTO program, pretty flexible, plenty of OT to go around every year, If you need an extra day off ask, if you’re going to be late call, if you’re sick call in before shift if you can.

Cons

Benefits leave plenty to be desired from cost of coverage to what’s covered. If you have military benefits you’re fine you won’t need them. OT gets kind of ridiculous sometimes as in your department might be waiting on parts all week but you’re there for extra hours just in case they come in even if they are scheduled to arrive next week. Customers run the show as in they decide to bring their plane 2 weeks later and want to leave 2 weeks early causing overlaps with other customers and at times extra downtime causing stressful situations on everyone top to bottom. Location, not a lot to be done here either live in Ardmore or expect a drive, no relocation assistance economy of Ardmore thinks they are closer to Dallas than it really is. Just like any other job there’s always someone that will say you don’t anything so just keep on working and let results fuel the truth. Not many opportunities for advancement. Day shift only, no options for schedules that might better suit any individuals lives better M-F even when slow so plan fuel spending
