Pros

Amazing benefits plus profit sharing as a staff attorney. Firm reputation and name recognition opens doors with judges and other attorneys.

Cons

In September 2009, staff attorneys received a 5% salary reduction to offset supposed losses caused by the economy. Later that year, the firm announced record profits per partner but as of 2012, staff attorney salaries still had not been reinstated to their former levels. Favoritism is prevalent. Work load is unfairly distributed. Management is unresponsive to requests for assistance or notifications of health issues. Poor performance by some employees is often tolerated or ignored to the detriment of team members. Work-life balance is given lip service but is not actually valued.
