      Better than not having a job

      This company is being destroyed by incompetent management, favoritism, and questionable business practices, to name a few. Joining Kite has been the worst thing I could do for my professional career. The poor substance of the pipeline and poor sales proves that management doesn't know how to operate a biotech company. One of the root causes of Kite's problems are self-serving executives who put their personal interests ahead of the business, leading to loss of talent and very poor decision making. I have never experienced this level of behavior in my prior professional life in biotech. Not sure why Gilead still has Kite on their book, it has been and always will remain a liability.

      Pros

      - Great benefits including 401K matching, tuition re imbursement, HSA matching, stock/bonus awards, and wellness awards. - Excellent campus with onsite/subsidized food court, gym, volleyball/pickle ball/volley ball court, zoom enables conference rooms, and shuttle service. - Company shutdown in July and December. - Laboratory spaces stocked with new equipment. - Utilizes electronic batch record system instead of paper.

      Cons

      - Poor collaboration between site leadership resulting in distractingly competitive environment focused more on positive optics rather than continuous improvement. - Poor short term and long term planning, often resulting in inconsistent operations schedule and unclear deadlines/objectives.
