Pros

As a three-decade vet of the engineering consulting world I've had the occasion to work on hundreds of projects, for dozens of clients, and with countless team members and colleagues... I have been most impressed here at Kleinfelder at the exceptional quality of the staff, their work, AND our clients. The performance "bar" is set high and results are expected, but goals are reasonable and fair for a high-performing organization with aspirations of healthy growth. My experience thus far has been a very positive one, especially in an industry that can be quite difficult and challenging at times.

Cons

Potential for overworked and burned out staff... load-leveling as well as hiring quickly, and at the proper level, could improve. Uncertainty associated with CEO search.

Pros

Gained a lot of experience in the field Thorough onboarding and training Covered a required certification process Will help immensely for my future Overall, friendly and helpful employees

Cons

6:30 a.m. start time was a tough adjustment, but I ultimately got used to it. I did cry at the end of my time there, because I knew I would miss the people.

Pros

Due to a lack of management accountability and organizational structure, employees often experience a high degree of autonomy, as there is limited oversight of day-to-day activities.

Cons

The company has experienced substantial changes in executive C-Suite leadership, and current management appears disconnected from the realities of supporting and engaging employees effectively. Ongoing organizational restructuring makes it nearly impossible to build a consistent career development plan within a given role.
