Pros

I have been with Kleinfelder for 5 years. Overall, it's a good place to work. My pay has increased significantly since I started, which is a big positive. I have learned a lot and worked on some very interesting projects. It is a great place to gain experience and offers adequate promotional potential. The project managers and senior scientists are knowledgeable and reasonable. Benefits are above average from what I've seen from other colleagues around the industry. I telecommute a few days a week, which helps the work/life balance.

Cons

No straight pay overtime, but a lot of overtime hours worked (mostly for field work). Work-life balance can be difficult when there are deadlines or large field efforts.

Gained a lot of experience in the field Thorough onboarding and training Covered a required certification process Will help immensely for my future Overall, friendly and helpful employees

Cons

6:30 a.m. start time was a tough adjustment, but I ultimately got used to it. I did cry at the end of my time there, because I knew I would miss the people.

Cons

The company has experienced substantial changes in executive C-Suite leadership, and current management appears disconnected from the realities of supporting and engaging employees effectively. Ongoing organizational restructuring makes it nearly impossible to build a consistent career development plan within a given role.
