Pros
Parent company is financially sound.
401k match and additional match at end of year most years.
Pay is just above average and sometimes a bit more for similar jobs in area, but depends on job role.
Some flexibility with work day schedule, but limited.
Cons
Senior management is resistant to change and tend to not want to hear from employees about new concepts or ideas to help stay relevant in industry.
There is bonus potential but it is completely subjective.
Is a bit of a fiefdom culture.
Lacks forward thinking in a post-pandemic workplace to accommodate employees working remotely or having flex schedules.
Dress policy is stuck in 1980’s or before with exception of jeans on fridays.
Owner and senior management is out of touch with how companies have evolved and what workplaces have become or can be.
Senior officers do not trust their team members and there is little to no autonomy. Women and men are not treated equitably and also depending on your job title and whether senior leader, cfo, and owner like you, you may not be treated same as peers.
No dedicated marketing or sales team so project managers are expected to do this and they aren’t good at it.
IT support is limited and needs bigger team.
Workloads are very unbalanced between people in same roles and creates burnout and resentment.
