Pros

-Leadership truly cares about the employee's well being, happiness and the culture as a whole and it always a priority. -Extremely talented and intelligent go getters make up the workforce. -AMAZING Benefits and Perks unlike any other startup I have worked at. -Dog-Friendly Fridays (Although I wish everyday was dog friendly) -Autonomy -Culture Club! - Really amazing events, fun happy hours, WFB (work from bar) Fridays. -A REAL work/life balance - I thought this was impossible to find in start ups and in NYC in general. But we have a real unlimited vacation policy, flexible travel schedules, Flexible work from home(I wfh about 1x a week), Flexible hours. As long as you get your work done you have the freedom to live your best life. -We recently launched a Mental Health and wellness initiative and group called Ocean, this is just one example of how much Anda(CEO) and our leadership team care about the employee's wellbeing and are pioneers in our space, rather than putting perks into place to be like everyone else. -Brilliant women in leadership (CEO & COO, SVP of Communications, Director of CS) that I have learned so much from and are all amazing mentors. Which has been so rare in my career to see. It's quite refreshing have this kind of diversity. -Flat organization allows for everyone to feel like they are making an impact and voices are heard. -Amazing and Trendy Soho/Tribeca Loft Office -Inspiring mission that makes me feel like we can really make a big impact. Overall, the team really supports each other. There is no gossip (at least not that I hear) and it's really a culture of bringing each other up, working hard but having a blast together while we do it. I can genuinely and honestly say I like every single person on the team and I am excited to come into the office everyday because I know that I am a part of something truly special. All the Benefits & Perks: -New and amazing insurance benefits with a lot of options and covered at 99% -Ocean - Mental Health and Wellness Stipend and Group -Free lunch everyday from corporate seamless or you can go out for lunch. -FSA/HSA -Life Insurance, STD, LTD -Competitive Pay -Free Commuter Benefits (this really adds up!) -Unlimited PTO, sick time. -Flex hours and WFH policy -Monthly Bonding Events -Weekly Happy Hours

Cons

-Changed Dog-friendly office to just Dog-Friendly Fridays :( I miss the pups. -It's a startup so there is still a few things to figure out like career trajectories, better goal system. -Building isn't the most secure (Not Knotch's doing) but a couple things have gone missing due building management not ensuring secure entrance/exit. -Not really a con, but I would like to see some more senior folks added to the team. -Product roadmap could be a little more defined.

Pros

Knotch is made up of exceptionally bright, genuine, and motivated people who truly care about one another and the work we do. There’s a strong sense that we’re all moving toward a shared goal while actively supporting each other along the way. Honest, constructive feedback is welcomed, egos are notably absent, and continuous improvement is part of the culture. I feel very fortunate to be part of the Knotch team and hope to spend many years of my career here.

Cons

As with many fast-paced companies working with cutting-edge technology, workloads can occasionally ramp up quickly. That said, Knotch is thoughtful about ensuring the team has opportunities to unplug and maintain a healthy work–life balance, which is refreshing and uncommon among startup-style environments.

Pros

Competitive pay and able to work remote.

Cons

I genuinely don’t understand how this company continues to exist. The product is interesting in theory but is completely duplicative of other, better, and more affordable options in the market. Instead of real market research or validation, leadership shifts the product and go-to-market strategy every other month based on whatever buzzword is trending in marketing... or whichever deep-pocketed customer they’ve recently had a casual chat with. The company feels like it only survives because of the executive team’s connections rather than any real product-market fit. The CEO is incredibly charismatic, but beneath the charm, there’s a serious lack of experience. That would be fine if the rest of the leadership team made up for it, but instead, it’s a group of mostly unqualified executives who dictate direction without any real understanding of what they’re doing. The team itself is tiny and keeps shrinking. If you’re not a yes-man, you won’t last. Leadership does not take kindly to being questioned — either you kiss the ring, or you’re out. There’s no real culture of collaboration, just a top-down approach where a few people decide everything, and everyone else is expected to follow orders. If you’re not in the executive circle, you’re treated like a cog in the wheel. On top of that, the work environment is bizarre. The team is filled with people who seem to avoid having personal lives, constantly manufacturing urgency around meaningless work to feel important. And for a company that claims to be a marketing company, it’s astonishing how little anyone in leadership actually understands about marketing. If you want to work somewhere with a clear vision, competent leadership, and a culture that values real collaboration, look elsewhere.
