Good experience as an entry level employee. I met some very good people on my team at my time there - many of who I am still friends with to this day outside of the company.
Cons
As a new, young grad, I loved this company for years. As it turns out, that was because I was gaslit constantly into thinking I was lucky to be a part of the company and for the opportunity ‘to make a real difference”. In reality, I was paid WAY under market value even after 5 years of experience and loyalty to the company. I asked for a raise once and a small one was approved (after my immediate supervisor suggested I request a smaller amount than i desired as to not appear ‘in a negative light to the upper executives’) however then I was SKIPPED for the following annual increase given to all staff because receiving a raise disqualified me. A joke. The only way to get ahead in the company is to be family or friends of the CEO/president, otherwise do not expect the frequent promise of growth to actually occur. So much toxic positivity all I could do to survive was laugh it off - they love saying we are all family and then leaving you high and dry at any chance given. ‘Making a difference for Hoosiers’ that was so positively discussed and talked up to me upon interviewing quickly came to light when I saw the conditions and lack of pay/benefits we were actually offering these Hoosiers to work for us for. Fox News on the TVs constantly, the President wore a belt buckle to the office multiple times supporting police lives after the Black Lives Matter movement occurred, little diversity and inclusion - several coworkers on my team alone had dietary restrictions made known to HR and time after time after time they were not given options at company lunches/parties and left hungry if they didn’t bring their own food. HR here is horrendous, I never felt comfortable going to that team in my 5 years as they were cold, harsh, and looked at you like you were crazy if you ‘weren’t one of them’. During Covid, they could care less about your concerns for safety, neglected to inform you if a coworker in close contact tested positive, and gave us surveys to complete weekly when we were remote to check in - however as I constantly rated my experience as a 2/5 each week, no one in management attempted to actually check in on me to discuss the concerns - in fact it wasn’t until I was pulled after many weeks of reporting the 2 that I was basically given ‘tough love’ and told that bc of my 2s I am being potentially watched by HR and that could mean bad things for me.. so instead of being concerned, it felt like I was being intimidated on my honesty. I would never return to this company.
