Pros
Working at Koala couldn’t be more of a rewarding experience. Since starting here, I wake up each day looking forward to the day ahead, excited to take on the challenges that come my way and to work alongside some of the most talented (and insanely funny and kind) individuals I have ever crossed paths with. In my experience here to date, Koala has provided me with the opportunity for immense growth - constantly being trusted to take on new projects and initiates while being able to explore areas within the business that are of deep interest. This organisation truly CARES. You can see it in the work that is done and achieved across the business. People love what they do and are incredibly passionate about it. They go above and beyond to make sure that we are constantly pushing boundaries while also making the most impact we possibly can on the world around us. Our people truly CARE for our people. Our teams are constantly finding ways to support the needs of our Koalas across the business. Especially during a difficult time over the past year or so, I am always in awe of our efforts to keep our people at the heart of all we do. I have never been happier at an organisation, in a role and to work with a team of absolute legends (that I call friends) that I learn from each and every day.
Cons
I don’t believe this to be a con, I believe this to be the nature of the business and being a part of a fast-moving scale-up. This type of business forces you to get comfortable with being uncomfortable, getting back in the room when things get messy and riding that wave of change. It might not be for everyone, but if you are up for the challenge it is a fantastic opportunity to push yourself and to grow.
