Pros

Met some nice people there, the ability to work remotely was great. Personally had very little direct supervision so had freedom. Very intelligent people working there. There are worse places to work.

Cons

Minimal mentoring. Employees seem depressed about company future. Even the office was unpleasant (e.g., horrible furniture in both use and function, equipment out-dated). When you walked into the office, definitely didn't give you a feeling of "yes, this company is going places" unless by places, you mean financial struggles.

Thanks for your feedback. I'm happy to hear that your experience at Kodak Alaris provided you with the opportunity to work with people that were both nice and very intelligent. In your post, you mention mentoring. I'm pleased to share that this year and into next year we are building a mentoring program with new employees in mind and then expanding out to the rest of the team. That effort is being worked on by our Employee Engagement team, HR, and Internal Communication. Mentoring and employee engagement are great ways to hang on to talented people. As we move into our third year as a company, we continue to make changes in key leadership positions to help drive us in new directions – to unlock the power of images and information. You're probably familiar with that last part as our corporate purpose. And in regard to our building in Rochester, we are looking at many options in anticipation of the end of our lease! (As a fun fact, IT just set us up with "thinking" phones and headsets that work great with Skype. That's a small part of the IT infrastructure changes that we have going on -- there are some really big ones that are making us cutting edge.) -Brennan (Head of Internal Communication)
