Pros
I enjoy working at Kohl's only because I'm well liked among my co-workers and customers. I am NOT a people person, but people like me for some reason. I do get crack customers still, but I could only imagine how much worse it could be. My co-workers are also generally a pleasure to be around...which keeps me from shoving a hanger through my eye on bad days.
Cons
In the store I'm currently at, the communication is TERRIBLE. Nearly daily, I'm given a task from one manager/supervisor, I'll be 15-20 minutes into that task, and another manager/supervisor will come by and ask me why I'm doing what I'm doing, tell me to stop, and give me another task. Also, I am trained to do EVERYTHING in my store besides customer service, I have 14 hours of availability 5 days a week, but I still get basic hours right along with people will less availability and less knowledge of the various positions in the store. On top of that, which could go without saying, the pay doesn't hold you to this job. People stay at Kohl's because, 1.) they're working to fill time, they don't NEED the money, 2.) they can't get a better paying job (or Kohl's is one of 2 or, at one point for me, THREE jobs they have), 3.) they can deal with the pay and they stay because of the people they work with.
