Pros

Very easy hiring process, Training is in depth and the people are willing to help out. People are great but that always depends on the location.

Cons

Hours are very inconsistent, You could have 35 hours one week and 8 the next. They don't care about giving you the same hours week to week. you could be scheduled at 5am one day and then 6pm the next. They push the Kohl's charge cards as if their lives depend on it. Every time I would try to buy something one of the managers would try to pressure me to sign up for a card if we haven't reached goal for the week. If you are a cashier and there's nothing to do, they'll fuss at you for not doing anything even if there wasn't anything that you could do. They want your availability to be way higher than anything you'll be scheduled for. If you're only being scheduled 2 days a week, your availability has to be 5 days just so they have more flexibility for themselves.

Pros

managers can be friendly at times

Cons

Little to no training been working here for almost a year now there’s still something I don’t know every day. What was most difficult for me was being at registers as I was trained in two days by shadowing someone. There are so many situations and problems that will come up every day and you will learn something new! They never taught me about Kohl’s cash, how to read receipts, reprint or edit receipts. They schedule so little so when you do learn something there’s no chance of rehearsal because you come in three weeks later working at a different department.
