Pros
Somewhat flexible hours, cool people to work with, decent sale events.
Cons
To star off the pay is fairly low, $7.55 an hour. Considering how other retailers start off at $8.00-$9.00 this kind of sucks. If you want a chance to make a decent amount of money you need to put in a lot of hours. The work-life balance is none existence. I cannot remember when I actually got a weekend off that I didn't have to request. We're constantly pushed to meet credit goals but there's really no rewards to it. Sure you get a 'generous' dollar for every credit you open but honestly you do it for the hours. Hours at Kohl's are unpredictable to say the least, one week you'll work 25+ hours and the next you'll work 15. Did I mention the lack of rewards. In my store we had an August goal for credit, first team to reach 130 credits wins a prize. I being so naive thought we'd receive a cool gift card or something. Nope we got coloring books, play-dough and treats from the dollar store. Honestly what are we five?
