Pros
*Great team and dynamics - The teams absolutely carry the stores, they are super knowledgeable, helpful, and many of them are great teachers *Good entry-level leadership - Gives you baseline experience with payroll, timekeeping, scheduling, onboarding, hiring, and coaching, though far from the main focus of the role *Teaches you how to handle high-stress/highly time-sensitive situations *Every other weekend off *Good pay and benefits
Cons
*Poor management - Passive aggressive, not willing to have conversations with you, ridicule you in front of others, will make you feel like a problem no matter how hard you work or if you get all of your assignments done *My work or time did not feel valued - Regularly had two or more 11- or 12-hour days a week *A vast majority of my job was working freight, rarely had time to do other things (i.e. leadership outside of freight process) *I received no feedback unless I did something wrong *Associates of different genders not treated equally - I noticed that my male coworkers were treated as workhorses who work freight consistently and literally do all the heavy lifting (moving fixtures, shelves, etc.) *Inventory is out of control/bad business outlook
