Pros

401k is nice. Great wellness benefits ($700 into HSA just for filling out a form). Their socially-progressive mentality is sometimes reassuring.

Cons

Terrible strategies by corporate have a negative impact on customers and workers. Giving focus to archaic credit card initiatives rather than the customer experience. Store Managers often harassed by bosses, which leads to them abusing their associates. Stores are understaffed, leading to overworked teams. Robberies and shoplifting have also greatly increased at the time of my writing this review, and associates are constantly paranoid. What little pride the store teams had for their work has vanished. Kohl’s is in the process of joining Macy’s and JCPenny’s in the retail graveyard, as they continue to stumble and trip in an evolving market.

Pros

managers can be friendly at times

Cons

Little to no training been working here for almost a year now there’s still something I don’t know every day. What was most difficult for me was being at registers as I was trained in two days by shadowing someone. There are so many situations and problems that will come up every day and you will learn something new! They never taught me about Kohl’s cash, how to read receipts, reprint or edit receipts. They schedule so little so when you do learn something there’s no chance of rehearsal because you come in three weeks later working at a different department.
