Pros
Brand recognition and diversification of products.
Cons
One of the most unorganized, dysfunctional, unprofessional organization out there. Extremely tough environment to work in. Employees are overworked and discouraged. There is very little time to work on process improvement; instead time is spent and wasted putting out fires which occur daily. Nothing seems to function properly. 3G Management completely lacks knowledgeable and understanding how supply chain works. I have seen them googling on how to determine safety stock. Management should not be googling basic information that is standard learning in American Universities. Portuguese is spoken around the office consistently. Consultants that have been hired to help resolve simple supply chain issues are also Brazilian and are hard to understand. Sometimes you get the feel that you are in South America rather than US. Nepotism is everywhere! Heinz culture prides themselves on meritocracy. But really there has been no promotions in Operations department for the past 2 years. Instead 3G Management came in and gave themselves all management positions. Some would call that meritocracy I guess!? Moral is at all time low. Employees are being let go what seems daily. Instead of management taking responsibility and accountability for root problems that are within the organization, they instead let people go. Again putting out fires instead of improving broken processes. Communication between departments is almost nonexistent. Each department has competing objectives and enormous time is spent on blaming each other. Goals change daily and failure to pass this information from management to employees is given. Lower manager is very unprofessional. Bunch of immature 25 year olds with no experience with real business world. This place is falling apart.
