Pros
The best things: You get your first raise after 3 months, and then another shortly after, so that's something great to put on your resumé. You also get to eat doughnuts all you want while you're on the clock. You also get a 50% discount, which is awesome, because McDonald's only gave me a 10% discount. You get your work shoes, for FREE. They also offer incentives such as, you get $1 for every coupon book or calendar you sell! (They DON'T have to pay you for that at all, since you're already supposed to sell their merchandise.) On Christmas, I got a free Turkey, as a gift from Krispy Kreme! You also get paid weekly, instead of bi-weekly.
Cons
Krispy Kreme is a great company, but things tend to go wrong when dealing with management. I feel like supervisors do most the work, while the Store Manager, or GM, goes on vacation once a month, or every other month. In case you don't understand how awesome that is, that's about 6-12 vacations a year! Also, tons of doughnuts get thrown out; I think it'd be better to donate some to churches, or let the employees take a half-dozen home with them. Now, Krispy Kreme isn't "fast food," it is "retail," because we sell merchandise such as Tshirts, mugs, onsies, caps, and other miscellaneous items. And it does get irritating to I, and the customer when I am forced to offer purchasing our new Vanilla Spice Latte, along with a doughnut hole cup, and topped with our latest gadget, such as the Christmas ornament or our calendars. Now, purchasing any of what I mentioned would either benefit you, or you would greatly thank me for it later. But, when all you came in for was 2 original glazed doughnuts, and I have to ask you to purchase all that before you leave, it does get annoying and frustrating. There are probably more pros than there are cons to Krispy Kreme, but the cons should be reconciled and be noticed by KK, and be fixed if possible.
