I like the product, I like the work; but the management is absolutely atrocious. - Quality Assurance Engineer Kubota Employee Review

Pros

It pays the bills and the work itself isn't hard to do and is potentially enjoyable.

Cons

Management is currently, on a regular basis, one-upping themselves on the stupidity front. Completing anything is impossible, engineers have zero ability to perform autonomously and obtaining training or tooling/equipment is an uphill battle. Even when an argument to correct or better explain something can be made; nobody listens and pulls rank to end the conversation. Engineers are instructed to problem solve, however it is frowned upon if engineers are not problem solving from their desk. You are allowed to go to actual problem solving but then if you take "too long" its considered wasting time. Progression is essentially a clique environment; not being a "yes man" severely hurts ones chances of advancement.

Pros

Good opportunity for travel, lots of internal training opportunities, some excellent managers and coworkers

Cons

Top level jobs go to parent company ex-pats who are not necessarily trained or prepared for the job and they are exchanged for a new person every 3-5 years. Extremely complicated processes to get anything done and often changed or short cutted depending on who is involved with project
