Pros
They are really the best at customer service, and in my location, the management is pretty decent. Customers generally love shopping there. If it's a part- time job, flexible hours are great. They are a solid, very conservative company with a strong heritage and in a good position to weather market ups and downs.
Cons
To have world-class customer service and win all these awards, we basically don't follow our own rules. The company is so concerned that every customer have a great experience that people rip them off all time, and leaders don't have any power to enforce even the most basic rules. Once you get over the frustration of never saying "no", it's OK. People bring in loads of stuff from goodwill or yard sales and we hand them a gift card or a check. It's crazy! Don't count on benefits, I have been here over 4 years and health insurance gets worse every year.
