Pros

Benefits are comparable as other companies

Cons

During this period, mfg is considered essential. Not sure why since we are not mfg ventilators or masks. Workers union and management are told to report to work regardless of their health conditions. We are being forced to work on the floor with over 40+ people with no social distancing measures, masks etc. We have had one person die and others who tested positive. Their response was to close an area rather than the whole facility for a days No such thing as 14 day quarantine. No updates from management let alone anyone from HR addressing our concerns Senior leadership is more concerned about making their numbers for their bonuses than the welfare of their employees. Union is a joke

L3Harris Response

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. Without question the health and well-being of our employees is our top concern. We are incredibly grateful and proud of all our employees; particularly to those whose jobs requires them to be in the facility every day to ensure our customers fulfill their missions. L3Harris is part of the Defense Industrial Base and identified as an essential business, which means the work our employees perform is vital to meeting national security commitments. The operational leadership team has implemented a number of safety measures over the last month to keeping all our employees, including those continuing to work in our facilities, safe. L3Harris launched an internal COVID-19 resource site for employees and managers. This resource is the key repository for all company information, including guidelines for protecting our employees during the pandemic, L3Harris travel restrictions, visitor restrictions to our facilities, FAQs, and health and safety guidance from the Center for Disease Control and the World Health Organization. We continuously update these resources to ensure they remain relevant and current for the workforce. We will continue to evolve our response to COVID-19 as the dynamic and unprecedented nature of this pandemic develops and continue to protect our employee’s health and well-being in the workplace. We encourage you to share any additional concerns you may have with your manager and/or HR business partner.

Pros

Missions are impactful to the world Top talent in specialized fields Wonderful people Respectful environment

Cons

Processes and policies are not robust enough to support the large growth / merger, which leaves everyone operating in silos and interpreting things in their own ways Shared service model is not structured properly Not enough critical thinking around how budgets should be allocated for tools, capital, and salaries Higher level leaders are too in the weeds and not working on the harder strategic aspects Businesses are not aligned with common products to gain best synergies as all businesses fight to defend $s not what actually makes sense for the company (radios sharing same suppliers are in completely different segments; CCAs are built across 10+ different factories managed by different management teams instead of a couple of large COEs) All leaders felt unempowered due to lack of ownership of budgets. Budgets were set but then adjusted at further levels without any additional discussion of new targets and how to achieve. Then budgets would be reallocated a few months into year if you weren't demonstrating that you truly need it. This drove teams to spend heavy up front and not make the smartest decisions at times
