Cons
Retired military leaders make a "good 'ole boys club," a political fraternity in corporate decision-making. Merit increases (raises) in 2022 do not keep up with inflation and are not an accurate representation of performance; i.e. "you get what you get." Sign-on bonuses and higher salaries are offered to new employees with little being done to retain those with 3+ years experience. There is a company-wide focus on the "bottom line," with pressure compounding down to the individual employees. With limited "merit" increases, employees are required to work even harder, often on overtime in manufacturing and engineering, to keep up with corporate's goals. Bonuses for special projects and extra effort seem to be a thing from the past; these used to supplement employee salaries and encourage added efforts. New management lacks proper training and mentorship.
