Pros
* Great people to work with * A lot of people willing to help * Good place to co-op - they get you a clearance with no trouble and give you real work. No PTO, though * Nice amount of PTO (someone was saying it's capped at 4 weeks - that's true for new hires; it increases based on tenure (5 years is 6 weeks), and 4 weeks PTO for new hires is incredibly generous) * Generous holiday schedule - we had 11 paid holidays
Cons
* Compensation is weird - what was equivalently an SDE 1.5/2 was paid less than me - I was hired as an SDE 1. Someone else who started on my date was an SDE 2 and was paid 15k more. I saw a review mentioning that new grad college hires are told that they their compensation is adjusted at an accelerated pace. That is a lie. New grads are reviewed at the same pace as others. * Very little formal/informal resources besides coworkers * Tech stack was vanilla Java & JavaFX. Only.
