Pros

Mostly great coworkers and for incoming employee the pay was good. Unlimited PTO spoiled me. 50/50 on good managers to bad ones. Had some interesting projects that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Cons

Biggest con is everyone told me not to go to Harris because of layoffs. I thought well maybe things would be different for me. Nope. I was laid off. There were frequent layoffs too so it was just my time. I got some truly awful projects but, also some great ones. The great one's never lasted because of funding issues. It's not if you'll get placed on a bad project it's when. If you get a really great offer to come to Harris I'd take it but, I wouldn't plan on sticking around long-term.

Pros

As a contractor you can enjoy high pay if you negotiate it with the approved Indian based (ok US based but Indian controlled) structure. The busines prospects also look promising. Assurity of Income due to Defense Industrial Complex. The willingness to set aside major plant operations and redirect security personel to protect Visiting VIP Cabinet Level Appointees so they can perform Security Theater (I would call it Political Messaging by current Government leaders in the Department of War since the scripted end product was released for public consumption.) This ability to successfully chase taxpayers dollars will serve the company well in the near future.

Cons

The need to have US Citizens work most of the positions is a security requirement. Yet the reality is that means very little when those US Citizens are scrutinized almost completely by entities in another country. An organization cited US Law about hiring decisions and then gave a Calcutta address to snail mail / contact if an adverse decision was used.
