Good company, but not much for internal transparency or communication. - Project Manager LAZ Parking Employee Review

Pros

LAZ Parking is a good company that pays OK wages for a PM position. You will gain great experience and learn a lot! Management is friendly.

Cons

There's very little tracking of employee workload. Some PMs work 25 hours each week and some work up to 70, and each PM make the same pay despite the large variance in hours worked. When I brought this up to LAZ management as a problem I was essentially told "that's just the way it is". Exacerbating this issue is the lack of employee performance reviews or any other means of performance tracking. As a result of these two problems combined, promotions appear to be based on who gets along best with upper-management. There's a lack of internal communication and I was frequently denied meetings with both my management and my clients when I wanted to ensure that I was carrying out my responsibilities in a satisfactory manner or talk about streamlining various process because "they didn't have the time". I rarely had a good idea as to whether I was doing a great job or a terrible job as a PM and my manger's were disconnected enough from my workload that I eventually stopped trusting their feedback on my performance even if it was positive.
