Pros
The individuals in my department are wonderful. The relationships I have been able to develop with them have been a highlight in my tenure here. As my position requires me to be on the floor I am very grateful to the operators, leads, and supervisors that have mentored me and allowed me to grow into my role as an engineer. The other engineers are also incredibly welcoming and patient when it comes to new hires/training. All of us were thrown into the deep end when we started and because of that we are a very friendly group, not afraid to ask questions to each other, able to admit when we don't know something, and constantly trying to soak up information from each other to be better.
Cons
There is so much information that is actively withheld by upper management. It is so frustrating trying to communicate and receive any information let alone that is accurate. I never seen people in high up positions work so tirelessly to make the jobs of others so much harder or shut out their voices. It makes it very difficult to perform well in any role here because it does not feel like there is any support from people in positions of power.
