Pros

I met some coworkers that made it possible to survive for as long as I had to endure the horrible environment that LGI Homes has created. That is the ONLY pro. Out of those 10+ coworkers that made my life at LGI sustainable, I believe only two remain employed there and are constantly on the hunt for new jobs.

Cons

The company functions like a cult with core values that not one person in leadership lives up to. The pay is far below average and the quantity of work and hours required are like working in a sweatshop. Nothing is ever good enough, no matter how much work you complete or how many hours you put in. Managers lie to, belittle and degrade employees to no end. Fellow coworkers talked about suicidal thoughts due to the lack of respect and downright mental abuse management at this company shows their employees. The people responding to these reviews about how "shocked" they are to read comments such as this are almost laughable. After all, they are getting paid to make the company look good so their recycled responses about how shocked they are provide just more examples of what is required of them to survive another day and "please their cult masters" after sipping too much of the kool-aid. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Pros

Absolutely none, terrible position unless you are in a "great" community. They build in crappy places and expect people to pay top dollar.

Cons

Stay far away! For this position you will be under paid and over worked. They guarantee sales people 500 leads minimum a year. What they don't tell you is that 98% are garbage. The other 2.99% are desperate people with some of the worst credit you've ever seen. Then you have the .01% that can actually purchase a home. And they expect a minimum of 18 closings for sales people. They want to run everything like it is in Texas but news flash, all markets are different. Some need a different approach. And no one will listen to someone who's been in the local market for years. Pre crash and post crash of 08. I told them exactly what to do to make us a producing market and it fell on deaf ears. Then I was promised a promotion for doubling my team size, community count and responsibilities. Then when the time came. They said nah. Systems based company? Yea ok. What a joke. Wasted 2 years of my life here and walked away from a blossoming career I already had on the promise of big money that never came. Stay as far away as you can!!!
