Pros

I cannot think of any Pros

Cons

Terrible company to work for. They expect their employees to dedicate their entire lives to the company. Upper management likes to tell a story about "sacrifice". The story is about a senior manager who missed his son's appearance in the Little League World Series so that he could attend a national management retreat. They actually want you to believe that "sacrificing" a once in a lifetime opportunity with your child so you can attend an quarterly work function is an admirable quality. I knew immediately after hearing management brag about that story that this company was not for me.

Thanks for the review. We understand this sentiment and remember that specific call - but sacrificing family time is certainly not the message. This was simply recognizing a very hard-working, loyal employee who had a few instances in their 15 year tenure that may have been challenging - and those moments did not go unnoticed by management. Therefore - highlighted and praised with gratitude. We truly appreciate every employee and know how much they contribute to our success - through the good times and the more challenging ones. We are nothing with out our incredible people! Our loyal employees are the difference at LGI Homes.

Pros

Absolutely none, terrible position unless you are in a "great" community. They build in crappy places and expect people to pay top dollar.

Cons

Stay far away! For this position you will be under paid and over worked. They guarantee sales people 500 leads minimum a year. What they don't tell you is that 98% are garbage. The other 2.99% are desperate people with some of the worst credit you've ever seen. Then you have the .01% that can actually purchase a home. And they expect a minimum of 18 closings for sales people. They want to run everything like it is in Texas but news flash, all markets are different. Some need a different approach. And no one will listen to someone who's been in the local market for years. Pre crash and post crash of 08. I told them exactly what to do to make us a producing market and it fell on deaf ears. Then I was promised a promotion for doubling my team size, community count and responsibilities. Then when the time came. They said nah. Systems based company? Yea ok. What a joke. Wasted 2 years of my life here and walked away from a blossoming career I already had on the promise of big money that never came. Stay as far away as you can!!!
