Pros

Corporate structure is consistently being perfected, Employee Benefits are wonderful

Cons

Pay structure is horrible and unfair, the departments in the corporate office are like dog hounds, where everyone is under so much stress to meet productivity they become competitive but in an unhealthy way. I know the VP's want competitive productivity to get the work done but its ridiculous at this point. Once you walk in this office you are LOCKED DOWN for the day. Its an act of congress to take care of your REAL LIFE. Rev Cycle, IT, Purchasing - all you see and hear about is back stabbing, whining, tattling and its becoming Childs play against each other, without even realizing they are acting out. Warnings are given for petty incidents as if it was a daycare. OUT OF CONTROL!! Completely ridiculous place to work. I once was proud to say I worked for LHC but now I am embarrassed by what goes on - ON THE INSIDE!!

Pros

LHC group is a good company to work for. They offered training and support from management. I would say a solid company culture from my experience. I felt supported and checked on by my team.

Cons

Cons depend on the agency you work for. I had a good experience with my location and team.

Pros

Autonomy, days go by quick, expectations are defined.

Cons

Unmanageable workload/cases. Expected to fulfill number of points per week. Charting beyond business hours every day. Start of care visits also included hands on care. One visit took 3 hours because of 8 wounds and that didn’t include documentation. Oasis is tedious and comprehensive. Territory was supposed to be 10 minutes from home; it was not. Sometimes 45 minutes between each case with 5-6 cases for the day. Totally unmanageable for a seasoned and organized nurse. I cannot imagine how it would be for a less experienced nurse. Overworked and overwhelmed my entire time. I learned a lot from training modules but then you’re out on your own to troubleshoot. Unless you’re willing to hustle every single day and are willing to chart during dinner time and then still take time to confirm next day’s appointments, stay away.
