Pros

Employee friendly. The management of LHC Group provides a positive family culture of what we do and what we are about. Stability and type of work we provide gives me great pride. I have had opportunities throughout my career at LHC Group and appreciate the opportunities to work within the same company for so long.

Cons

More resources need to be used to provide hands on training to nursing staff. Computer based learning is not enough. The new policy to not allow employees to sell PTO at 100% is an unfair policy for employees who have committed to stay with LHC Group for so long. Holiday policy is small/too few compared to many other larger companies like LHC Group.

Pros

Autonomy, days go by quick, expectations are defined.

Cons

Unmanageable workload/cases. Expected to fulfill number of points per week. Charting beyond business hours every day. Start of care visits also included hands on care. One visit took 3 hours because of 8 wounds and that didn’t include documentation. Oasis is tedious and comprehensive. Territory was supposed to be 10 minutes from home; it was not. Sometimes 45 minutes between each case with 5-6 cases for the day. Totally unmanageable for a seasoned and organized nurse. I cannot imagine how it would be for a less experienced nurse. Overworked and overwhelmed my entire time. I learned a lot from training modules but then you’re out on your own to troubleshoot. Unless you’re willing to hustle every single day and are willing to chart during dinner time and then still take time to confirm next day’s appointments, stay away.
