Pros

A relaxed and fun environment because there is little to no supervision. Managers often never leave the office and only want to see "numbers." (i.e. quota, trailers full, reports) The pay structure for dismantlers allows hard workers to earn more than those who are lazy. It is well below other automotive pay but it is good for entry level experience.

Cons

Upper level mangers have little to no experience in salvage industry and are oblivious to what really happens in the yards. There is no development program to train internal mangers who would understand the processes of each yard. No goal for upward mobility. Once you are good at a task you will likely not get a raise or moved from that task.

Pros

Pay is decent for those of us who have built a large enough customer base over the years.

Cons

Commission rate cuts the last five consecutive years. No path for advancement. Poor management. Since 2021, every change they have made that I have seen is designed to keep the stock price as high as possible - which has been stagnant for 10+ years. Customers and employees come last.
