Usually safe ratios on med-surg unit, fairly good benefits.

Cons

Usual amount of turnover and traveling nurses. It is clear that retention would be higher if they just gave staff nurses higher pay instead of using travelers

Benefits were okay, got worse the longer I was there. They went from BCBS to a self funded insurance plan and the price got high.

Cons

No training for roles, extremely high turnover, directors over the physicians division are a joke. I worked there for a year before I met my manager in person. It was all over the phone. Very political.
