Pros
Networking is more important than performance, which is pretty much the same anywhere. Make sure to identify and maintain those relationships to know what opportunities are coming and get on the radar when the interviews come.
Cons
Same as Pros. Great performers but poor networkers lose out. Better for them to get promotions at other companies because there is no respect for those who don't take the relationship building initiative.
