Pros
Relatively secure job. High quality lens products. Good looking glasses.
Cons
Despite using good looking ipads and computers the newest software that is used for selling and processing eyewear is not reliable. It either glitches and crashes once a day to the point that sales are not possible especially when the insurance eyemed is being used. It feels extremely frustrating because store management is pressured to make goals and in order to make minimum commission which honestly is $4.50 to $6.50 per pair of glasses we have to produce at least 95% of goal. It gets hard to make goal when right before the deadline for example the software completely goes down. Many stores are constantly understaffed. Employees are told to finish educational modules on the computers despite lack of availability of time. Many of the modules are more about history and fashion of the frames than about the optical aspect of it. It seems that to avoid mistakes and remakes that take place in the stores daily the management should stress the optical modules more than the fashion aspect of the frames.
