Pros
- Extremely efficient environment: Mangers focus on the things that matter. If you make a mistake, they will help you solve it, and then completely move on. No guilt or tension. They are very straightforward, with clear expectations, and will never waste your time with busy work or those random personality/strength quizzes. Every meeting, conversation, and email has a clear, succinct point.
- Experience: Have learned so much about the media industry since starting. Great exposure to big clients from very early on. Meaningful work that will help grow your resume with a mix of both interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Very healthy work-life balance: No late nights, you aren't expected to check your email during outside of work hours. Generous with time off.
- Good people: Manager and boss will always be quick to support when in need. As it's a small company, the teams have a very friendly culture and we know each other well. All C-Suites are super accessible and people who I really respect. They are always willing to make time for you and give a lot of opportunity for growth.
- Beautiful office space: Great location, fantastic views of the city. Very peaceful and private.
Cons
- Pace of the workflow: Usually relatively relaxed, but will get intensely busy for periods. Not much pattern or heads up for these ebbs and flows.
- A lot to take in: Definitely experienced an intense learning curve while starting, there are so many pieces of knowledge needed to successfully do your job, and it can take time to fully understand what is going on. Can be overwhelming at the beginning.
- Salaries are competitive, and there is also an additional yearly bonus, however there is no concrete promotion/ raise system like larger companies have after spending x amount of years here.
