Lakefield is a newer vet company that is currently buying up established vet clinics. They have proven that their focus is solely on the bottom line and nothing else. Staff is overall unhappy. If you have any concerns or challenge any policy, you are seen as a problem and are usually eliminated, either by firing or by running you off. Their lack of empathy for their employees is more and more apparent. Their upper management don’t listen to the concerns of those on the front line. They respond only to numbers and nothing else. They hire individuals with no veterinary knowledge to fill roles that are directly in control of each hospital which hinders their ability to relate and problem solve effectively. The company has potential, but is lacking in leadership. If you join the team, don’t ask questions and watch your back!
