Pros

Before Covid I would have said that this was a great job, with excellent leadership and a strong supportive atmosphere. Since returning to campus I will say that it has shown that there is no leadership and the culture has become divisive, demeaning and elitist. There are a lot of problems that need to be addressed and solved.

Cons

Poor leadership, negative unsafe culture, elitist and demeaning. No regard for employees from leadership and certainly not from HR. Managers show favoritism and torment those who are not the favorites.

LCC pays well especially as compared to other colleges in the area. The advising team is very supportive of each other and works to maintain a collaborative culture.

Cons

Advising is not often appreciated by other units on campus. Often times, administrators complain about the effectiveness of the advising team. Constant critique is very devaluing.
