Pros

LCC Radio WLNZ 89.7 is a great place to be employed at, because the Station Manager challenges you to keep improving yourself and your work. The Development Director really cares about the staff members/volunteers and provides a flexible work schedule that fits around your other responsibilities! Plus this place feels like a second home, because everyone works together as a team to help promote the radio station's shows and events, while also giving back to the local community!!

Cons

There are very few paid job positions there and most of the openings require the individual to be enrolled as a college student at Lansing Community College (LCC). There is a 6 credit minimum for enrollment during the Spring and Fall semesters and 3 credit minimum during the Summers. In my opinion the classes and books are expensive considering the fact that LCC is a two year college not a university.

Pros

LCC pays well especially as compared to other colleges in the area. The advising team is very supportive of each other and works to maintain a collaborative culture.

Cons

Advising is not often appreciated by other units on campus. Often times, administrators complain about the effectiveness of the advising team. Constant critique is very devaluing.
