Pros
- You get a schedule based around your classes
Cons
- Lower hourly wage than most other colleges - Turnover rate at the college is more than 50% - over 40% of the space is wasted at the college meaning many long walks to appointments into obscure and basically unused areas of the college. - 0 and I mean ZERO communication between departments; Not a single time are two departments actively collaborating on things, even within the same division. Within the ITS division there was not a single person on the PC Technician side of things that knew a shred about the telecoms or Virtual Machine side of the college. Part of this is due to the nature for the job, part of it is due to the fact that the college does not facilitate any sort of communication between these departments besides in passing in the halls. That is when people actually show up to work. No one actually works on campus anymore meaning scheduling appointments is absolute misery. Not to mention the rude clientele of your own coworkers that, surprise, surprise, have no clue about the processes of my department, and will absolutely take every chance they get to complain.
