Pros

Good colleagues.. Nice work life balance, 40 hours a week.

Cons

Management is terrible, most senior ppl only had about 3 years of coding experience and became a senior. Management style is Asian hierarchical, they don’t care about employee’s growth, there was no form of training or knowledge transfer or mentorship. Like the other post said, there was no senior tech leadership in the office. It’s like a boat without captain. You do get travel opportunity to long beach, California which itself is a boring city. You basically go to Empower conference as a speaker/assistant (ppl with 1 year coding experience teaches advanced topics lol), when conference is over, you work like in Toronto, still no training or knowledge transfer. Hotel is “motel” and if you are chosen to stay at one of their apartments, it’s basically a hostel, 6 ppl sharing 3 rooms, single bed. Food allowance is ok but not generous. Engineering developing process is terrible, the most trivial bugs are caught by QA. Engineers just code and push without quality control.

Pros

working at Laserfiche has been a fantastic experience. I'm not even kidding. From the moment I started, everyone was just so helpful and the whole team is super collaborative. The work itself is challenging, but in a good way, and it feels like what we do actually makes a difference for our customers. If you're looking for a good company that's smart and actually cares about its employees, you should totally check out Laserfiche.

Cons

Things change fast and project shift midflight because technology changes. You got to be adaptable and ready to change or be completely disappointed. Work loads can vary greatly. There is a heavy focus on security. Sometimes you have to work on legacy systems.

Pros

Decent work-life balance and benefits Hybrid work (although jobs could be done fully remote)

Cons

Low trust in employees’ ability to do their job. Upper management and executives set expectations that just make the job more difficult especially when flexibility to work with multiple time zones are a must.
